No problem with that. Heck, if we all agreed, that would be terribly boring.

Or, for that matter even to discuss it
But each subforum description is full of questions! Are they merely rhetorical?

... not that I won't.
Well...discussion is usually a 2-way street. Asserting seems more of what you do.

But I'm telling you, you are going to hear about it if you continue to come here.
Bring it on. I would love to see you defend your ideas.

And no, it's not because I say so, but because I know so.
At the risk of repeating myself, I cannot wait to see your reasons for knowing, and whether you are open to critical examination of those reasons.

And if you don't like it, then lump it!
What if I do like it? Like I said...bring it on. I want to see your best defense. Most of my favorite arguments have been ones in which I was proven wrong. Those are where I learn the most.

Obviously, we (or at least I, I won't speak for berry) do attend to your explanations, because we ask for clarifications of points that don't make sense. Most folk would consider that the time to go into more detail...some folk consider that an attack, and time to evade...I don't know why...

Some of what you say, you are right, I don't like. Those are the parts that a) I understand, and b) fly in the face of either evidence or logic. But that leaves loads of your stuff that I simply do not understand. For those things, I ask questions...which you typically see as attacks. They are honest questions; if you have no answers for them, I could not know that in advance.
Life happens ... Live it! ... Stop over-analyzing it! ... And you might learn a thing or two.

Um... actually, one can do both, even at the same time. In fact, there are few feelings to compare with the excitement of actually understanding something a teacher is telling you. I call it "The Aha Moment". (I still recall the moment in my Calculus class when it all started to make sense. Wow!)

You remember the story of Archimedes? When he unraveled the mystery of how buoyancy worked while sitting in his bath, he ran through the streets naked, crying, "Eureka!"

Remember, it's "Live AND learn", not "Live OR learn".

But why take things so seriously?

You have not yet seen "seriously" from me. I find it a bit amusing that you think I am being "so serious". This is an internet forum. A sandbox, compared to serious work.

But for a "serious" answer...you are asking questions about consciousness, the existence of god, the nature of reality...do you really want to treat such topics trivially?

Triviality is just as much a part of consciousness as any other aspect of it. So yes, lighten up! Or, didn't anyone ever tell you, that we find God by learning how to be happy?
