Is "thought power" meant metaphorically or literally?

I think it refers more to the subltle nature of the power that is created by thoughts and expalins the reasoining behind how some powerful thoughts has changed the thinking of many ( like that of Gandhi, or Karl Marks or Hitlar) and have infuended the humanity in a positive or negative way...

This does not answer my question. Do you mean this "power that is created by thoughts" to be literal or metaphorical?
